Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Regulate (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit tryregulate.com or use the Regulate web app, how we use it, and the rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible — Regulate works without you creating an account or password.
The data controller is Tryregulate B.V., based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. For any privacy question, email hi@tryregulate.com.
1. Data we collect
Information you give us
- Email address — to deliver your purchase, send your access link and backup access code, and let you sign in on other devices.
- Purchase details — the pack you bought and the order reference. Your card or wallet details are entered with, and handled by, our payment provider; we never receive or store full card numbers.
- Reviews — if you choose to leave one, the rating and any text you submit.
- Messages — anything you send us by email (e.g. support or refund requests).
Information collected automatically
- Device & access data — a device identifier we generate, a device label, and your browser/operating-system (user-agent), used to deliver the audio and to enforce the per-buyer device limit that keeps purchases personal.
- Usage & analytics — when you visit the site we use the TikTok Pixel (and may use similar measurement tools) which can collect your IP address, device/browser information, pages viewed, and actions taken, via cookies and similar technologies. This helps us measure our advertising and improve the product.
2. Cookies & tracking
We use essential cookies/storage needed to run the Service (for example to keep you signed in and remember your device) and analytics/advertising cookies set by the TikTok Pixel. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalisation in your TikTok account settings; essential storage is required for the Service to function.
3. How we use your data
- To deliver your purchase and give you access across your devices.
- To prevent sharing, fraud, and abuse of access.
- To provide support and handle refunds.
- To measure and improve our website, product, and advertising.
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g. tax/accounting).
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — delivering the pack you bought and your access.
- Legitimate interests — securing the Service, preventing access sharing, and basic analytics.
- Consent — for advertising/analytics cookies, where required; you can withdraw it at any time.
- Legal obligation — keeping records we are required to keep.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers (“processors”) that help us run the Service, under appropriate agreements:
- Payment provider — to process payments and refunds.
- Email provider — to send your access link and order emails.
- Hosting & data storage — to host the site/app and store access records.
- Analytics & advertising — TikTok, for measurement of our ads.
We may also disclose data where required by law.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your access and purchase records for as long as you have access to the Service and as long as needed for legal, accounting, and dispute purposes. Analytics data is retained according to the provider’s standard periods. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email hi@tryregulate.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data-protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). If you are a California resident, you may have similar rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete your data and to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context advertising — contact us at the same address.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and limiting who can access it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
10. Children
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take additional steps to inform you where appropriate.
